Through my painting I try to express my connection with a landscape, observing and later transforming my memories of landscape, light, form, which are always in transition, and changing weather elements into lines and blocks of colour.
I work in an energetic way, with intuitive approach.
Colour plays major part in my work, but line and marks have equally important value. Sketching with oil pastels or the other side of my brush on paint, adding sand collected previously at the beach to the paint to build texture, constructing and deconstructing, covering and rebuilding lines, it is all an important part of my creative process.
