My current work is about the body and it’s relationship with the mind and meditation. Through abstract shapes and mark making, I use a variety of media to express the relationship between figurative movement and how it relates with the connectivity of therapeutic practices such as yoga and the reflection of one’s self. Inspired by music, graffiti art and abstract expressionism, I use acrylic paint, spray paint and ink to create a series of shapes and colour that intertwine, layer and connect together to combine figurative expression with the transcendental. Music is a huge inspiration also in my work, where I try to create a relationship with sight and sound. Specifically electronic music and how one would capture visually the sound of analogue and digital instrumentation.
