My work is the result of combining mark making techniques with images drawn using my camera, in essence using my camera as a paint brush . The intentional movement of the camera creates fleeting glimpses of colour and shape. In that momentary glance unseen colours and combinations are produced, resulting in a softness that conveys the fragility and delicacy of the subject. A flower only here temporarily but its beauty captured in an image forever. Each image is a combination of layered photographs and marks creating juxtapositions of the detailed and the ill-defined, the duality of stillness and movement in one place.
