Ruth is a Brighton based artist and printmaker. She combines her love for unique Sussex architecture and all creatures that live in the depths of the sea. Ruth’s series of prints, Cephalopod Scenes, reimagines Sussex buildings occupied or even conquered by an inquisitive octopus. She loves the contrast of the patterns and structure in buildings with the fluid, agile octopus.
Ruth draws her images by hand from which she creates four to six-layer screenprints. From her screenprints she creates, A4 and A3 printed copies framed and unframed, bags – shoppers, beach and make-up and greeting cards.
