I am a painter currently focused on abstract pieces with a measured, expressionist feel. The work is calculated and deliberate, occasionally bordering on minimal. My baseline inspirations are in calligraphy and codes and other marks that carry meanings. Now I focus more on sensation and ambience, with stillness as a motif. And I am guided by the thinking behind monuments and other commemorative symbols we erect to represent moments in time, places and relationships along with the impressions and partial recollections we carry from dreams.
