Donna Stevens is a fine art photographer recognised for her captivating fairy tale landscapes and evocative animal portraits. Inspired by the colours and shapes of the wild, her images don’t depict reality but rather light-paint the sense of awe and enchantment that outer spaces provide, transcending their geographical locations. The final photograph often steps beyond its rectangular frame, erasing both horizon and perspective to create an abstract image of beauty—a landscape expanding beyond control and imagination. Nor is she a traditional wildlife photographer; her animal subjects are posed against stripped-down backgrounds with no surroundings, where graphic simplicity makes them extremely powerful and bold.
