I’m an amateur wood turner, living in Hove, and wanting to raise funds for a medical charity (Cystic Fibrosis). I like to make one-off pieces that use the natural features of the wood – natural edges, voids and bark incursions – to explore sculptural ideas, and I’m starting to use more gold leaf and gold paste to accentuate the beauty in the wood.
