My name is Chris Judge and I’m a knitwear designer/maker based in Brighton.
I have over 20 years experience working in the knitwear industry, producing designs for well-known national and international clients such as Donna Karan, Fendi and Missoni. In addition I design and make my own personal collection of knitted accessories under the name ‘Chris Judge Design’. Each year I create a range of scarfs, hats, snoods and gloves. I work on a vintage hand-flat knitting machine and use 100% British lambswool, which is then slightly felted to produce a luxurious product. My colour story is based on vibrant stripes and contrasting patterns. I also undertake bespoke commission work on request.
I usually show at the Brighton Makers Fair and the Lewes Artist and Makers Fair. I would like to extend the reach of my work and am very interested in participating in the Artist’s Open Houses event.
