I am an artist inspired by images captured in time and place that have a resonance for me. My work has focused mainly on the South Downs and Sussex landscapes but also images from Cornwall, Italy, and India. I try to capture the light and colour using acrylics, oils and mixed media. I have been inspired by the post impressionists and by great Sussex painters such as Ravilious and Nash. My most recent paintings are inspired by forests, trees and gardens; for example Sheffield Park and the garden at Charleston Farm house.
I have exhibited at the Starling Studio in Brighton and the Cleveland pub and have sold paintings and cards during the Open House festival in previous years. I have also undertaken some commissions.
My work is on canvas in a variety of sizes and mostly framed. I would love to find an Open House where I can exhibit some of my work during the next Brighton festival.
