Dan is a Lewes based artist, making fine-art prints and greetings cards.
His images express the feeling of places and a connection to nature, exploring evocations of light, woodland, open landscapes, birds, ancient p places with mystical connections and spirits. They are rooted real places but going beyond the literal with blurred light and sweeps of texture moving between things that seem more solid. The ghostly elements from nature are a running theme, haunting us from the future.
The source material for the images are photographs, often made at ancient sites on the South Downs such as Firle Long Barrow, Stane Street, Chanctonbury Ring, and Old Winchester Hill. These are layered and processed then printed on fine art paper – no AI involved!
Prints are signed and numbered, custom mounts and lucky numbers can be ordered.
