I’m a Brighton-based photographer located in Kemptown, specialising in black and white film photography. I enjoy capturing fleeting moments in Brighton and beyond on various film cameras and formats, predominantly 35mm and medium format film.
The three images I’m exhibiting were taken on a particularly misty winter’s day along the seafront and have an ethereal, almost ghostly quality, with some of Brighton’s iconic scenes gently fading from black to grey to white and into the mist.
Limited edition of 30 A3 prints of each photograph, printed at Brighton-based risograph studio Dopplepress. Risograph printing is an environmentally friendly process considered similar to a cross between screen printing and photocopying. Using sustainable plant-based inks, the image is printed through tiny holes in the master, or stencil, resulting in a dot-like print with each copy being unique.
