Oil paintings, usually based on landscape, focusing on the beauty, simplicity and complexity of nature. Paint is built using layers and textures, applied with knives, rags, sponges, hands – and sometimes even brushes.
Other themes include portraits, initially building a likeness and then pushing the colours and textures further, developing the image in an intuitive manner in an attempt to capture the spirit of the subject.
Paintings have featured, and been sold, at Open Houses in the past and have received significant positive feedback.
