My work is figurative, focussing on those living at the margin of society, and the casualties of exploitation, oppression and war. Other work addresses more personal concerns, including portraits. I paint in oils on canvas, panel and paper, working directly or from charcoal and pencil drawings derived from my observation and imagination, as well as images in the media.
I hope that my work affects the viewer’s take on familiar realities.
