My work stems from a passion for clay & stone being organic, tactile materials. I like to convey emotion & movement working with abstract figurative forms concentrating on flowing curves to create light & shadow.
My stone pieces aim to enhance the natural lines of the stone, the texture & colours. These are revealed through the carving process & I am fascinated & rewarded by rich, vibrant colours lying under a dirty grey exterior.
