My recent work has developed through the use of collage, drawing and painting and evolved by the juxtaposition of a range of elements such as form, colour and pattern, into paintings which may contain a deeper resonance to some, or simply display a joy of colour and composition.
I favour oils, on either canvas or wood, although I have a deep love of monochromatic mediums such as charcoal and ink.
My work has been described as ‘semi abstract’ and ‘illustrative’, which probably stems from my early study of illustration and design.
A recent, very positive collaborative Open Studio event, at my studio in Hove, and exhibitions have encouraged me to seek a fresh environment to show my work.
