I create joyful ceramics with my dogs by my side in my seaside pottery for ‘Woofing Fabulous’ in Saltdean.
Dogs, birds, garden ornaments and seagulls feature in my art work. Using bright, happy colours and textures inspired by nature and the seaside.
My garden ornaments include bright, colourful and happy Forget me nots, sunflowers, poppies and happy birds which stand on metal poles and look lovely sitting in groups. There are also Brighton seagulls as part of this collection. Additionally toadstools can sit amongst the plants.
In my dog collection I make them in all shapes and sizes from little minis and brooches to large sculptures, so that there is a pottery piece for everyone to collect. As they grow larger whiskers, collars and name tags are added to show their funny personalities. They are created individually hand built and fired in my own pottery with their own personality and names. I try to express how much dogs can mean to us, helping us and being very loyal.
