I am a designer–maker working under the name Tala Home And Living. My practice centres on designing and hand-making lampshades, creating original cushion designs, and restyling vintage furniture into individual, character-led pieces.
My approach to vintage furniture is rooted in respect for the original design; each piece is treated as a collaboration through time between myself and the original maker, allowing its history and craftsmanship to inform the final outcome. My work combines traditional techniques with a contemporary aesthetic, with a focus on ethical production, reuse, and thoughtful use of colour and pattern.
