Mackenzie is an artist, actor and physical theatre practitioner.
As a visual artist he works predominantly in drawing, painting and photography. His quirky and often allegorical style draws as much from the history of landscape painting as it does from carnival and protest and propaganda. Mackenzie explores (sub)urban dystopia, repression and body politics, capitalism, consumption and what these things leave behind…
Mackenzie would love to show his smaller and more text based (and more commercial) work during Open Houses.
The challenges of finding studios in Brighton is deeply problematic but the chance to connect with other artists and find alternative ways to work and show is very positive!
