Survival Techniques / Naomi Edmondson

Artist’s description

Naomi Edmondson is an award winning artist working across street art, painting, print and textiles. Her work promotes hope, optimism and relief from issues such as depression, anxiety and isolation. Under the project title Survival Techniques she paints typographic artworks, often in urban environments, presenting simple actions or statements that aim to bring a little light to someone having a dark day.

Naomi won Street Artist of the Year at the global Rise Art Prize and has had solo exhibitions in London and Tokyo. She has worked on commissions across a broad scope of sectors including corporate and retail environments, art galleries, festivals, schools, universities, conferences and hotels. Clients include Waltham Forest Borough Council, Adidas, The Hoxton Hotel Group, Art Fund, Lululemon and World Book Day.

Naomi also runs workshops where participants create a typographic artwork using their own Survival Technique / coping strategy.
